Solaire Resort and Casino opened its doors in 2013 to provide a premier integrated destination resort where guests can relish in the best gaming, entertainment, dining, and leisure experiences available. Its complex boasts an impressive 18,500 square meters of gaming area containing slot machines and gaming tables.
While developing the anticipated Solaire Club, Solaire shared their desire to create a refined environment that tastefully balances luxury with subtlety.
One of Solaire Club’s unique features is their underfloor air conditioning which replaces traditional ceiling-based air-conditioning. This posed specific needs while creating the slot bases. RyPax Gaming worked closely with Solaire’s mechanical, electrical and plumbing (MEP) team develop several proposed slot bases. We then rigorously tested the proposed designs to ensure that all technical requirements were met.
The main challenge of creating Solaire’s slot bases was ensuring that each slot base would sufficiently emit the underfloor air conditioning.
To begin, each slot base has a network switch which generates heat and would interfere with the underfloor air-conditioning. RyPax Gaming equipped each slot base with a basket containing a low wattage fan that would dissipate the heat from the network switch through a side panel. With these fans in place, the cool air conditioning can exit through inconspicuous vents facing the gamers with a reach of at least 0.13 square meters.
We also sourced for exceptionally quiet fans that would generate no more than 35dbA of noise, providing a non-disruptive playing experience. The result was premium slot bases that fulfil all technical requirements while looking exclusive.
To realise Solaire’s aesthetic vision, we collaborated with their operation team and design team to create highly functional furniture that also convey a sense of subtle luxury. The elegant brass accents create a striking contrast against the dark shades of walnut wood finish, giving the slot bases a luxurious and understated quality.
Finally, RyPax Gaming also supplied all table gaming chairs and slot gaming chairs for Solaire Club, ensuring that each chair would suit their distinctive style. We are honored to have partnered Solaire to create their slot bases of exquisite craftsmanship, uniquely theirs.
